Powdercoating is more cost-effective than traditional wet spraying and can last up to 25 years. We follow a three-step process that ensures surfaces are well prepared for a lasting quality finish and available in a wide range of colours.
Using the button above is the fastest way for us to get you a quote. It allows you to tell us everything we need to know about your item/s (you can share images too!) and what kind of powdercoating and finish you would like.
What can I get powder coated?
We only powder coat METAL surfaces– steel, stainless steel, aluminum and brass are all common materials.
How do I send my items?
You can either visit our showroom in Hackney or the warehouse in Edmonton (see addresses below). Many of our customers send items via courier if the locations are inconvenient.
Do I need a base coat or a top coat?
A base coat / top coat is not needed to complete the powder coating process, however they are used for their extra protective benefits. Our primers are recommended for steel surfaces, because of their anti-corrosion properties, and a lacquer is used to give that extra protection to the colour.
What is the quality of finish like?
It depends on the quality, condition and state of the surface it is being applied to. For example, a vintage bicycle frame may experience pitting, cracks or bubbling during the process, compared to new, raw material. To prevent this from happening as much as we can, we only use industry-leading suppliers, equipment and materials to provide the best possible finish to your product.
Can I have any colour I want?
Yes, within reason. We mainly stock colours from the RAL Chart but can also do colour matching as long as you provide us with a physical sample. Any custom colours are an extra charge and can delay the turnaround time. You can either visit our store in Hackney or choose a colour from an online RAL Chart.
How long does it last for?
Powder coating can maintain its finish up to 15-20 years, depending on after care and use after treatment. Its resistance to weather, corrosion, and chemicals makes powder coating a more durable finish than paint or other liquid coatings.
Can I reuse my item after powder coating?
All functional parts of the item are masked and plugged before powder coating, so they can be reassembled and reused. We are not responsible for the removal of non-metal parts e.g rubber ends or plastic washers etc.
How much does powder coating cost?
All projects are unique, which means we cannot provide set pricing. Send us an email or give us a call to discuss your requirements and we will respond promptly with a quote / turnaround.
What if I don't like the colour?
We do not offer refunds once powder coating is complete so it is recommended you visit the showroom in Hackney to view our samples before booking.
What if I chip / damage the paintwork?
Send us an email to assess the damage and we can advise further – [email protected] It may mean redoing the process or just touching up a small area. There are many products online, that can be used to cover up any chips, damage or cracks, however we will advise on the best method.
